Communication Plan

Communication is a reflection of who we are as professionals and an organization. All communication should be clear, respectful, and professional. Verbal and written communication is critical for effective leadership. Building confidence in others is done by effectively communicating in a sincere, professional, and direct manner.

The following questions will be the basis of ensuring we have effective communication:

  • Are we in tune?

    • We value people who are great listeners and have great empathy for and understanding of others.  We recognize effective communication is as much knowing when and how to share input as it is to having valuable input to share.

  • Are we articulate?

    • We communicate clearly and concisely, and we understand that what we say is as important as how we say it. Use kindness and respect.

  • Are we honest & direct?

    • We are truthful, candid, and consistently acknowledging both what we are doing well and what we are not doing well. We speak with good purpose when addressing others whom we have offended or those who have offended us to bring closure with kindness and tact.

  • Are we transparent and forthcoming?

    • We value people who understand the need to be transparent and forthcoming.  Our culture is not defined by policy and procedure but an openness where individuals are vulnerable, willing to make a few mistakes, with the knowledge that they need to be willing to own the victory or failure. Team members will be public in their ownership.

  • Are we courageous?

    • We question actions that do not align with our values and voice concerns even if they are controversial.
